URGENT ALERT! KNOWN ANIMAL ABUSER ON CRAIGSLIST LOOKING FOR PETS TO ABUSE!!

I know this is a Horse Rescue and Horse Slaughter informational blog website, but I saw this in a Care2.com list of blogs and I had to post it. There is a man that is posting a "pets wanted" email on "Craigs List". Craigs List is a popular website where people can go to buy just about anything. Please view this information on this guy who is abusing animals horribly. He goes by the name of Shon Rahrig. And it is said that he lives in Florida, the website address below will give you a lot of information on this guy.

I do not have alot of money to purchase a puppy or a dog, but I have a five year old little angel that has a priceless amount of love to give a puppy or dog. I do not live in a huge place, so I am looking for a small puppy. I can assure you that if you have a puppy that would be a good match for our family, it would be loved and well taken care of. Thank you in advance for your help and God Bless."

This man is not giving these animals a good and loving home like he states in his email on Craigs List. He is abusing them in the most horrific way. Please, if you have a blog or know of someone that can put this information out there for others to see, I would greatly appreciate it. AND PLEASE, DO A BACKGROUND CHECK ON PEOPLE WHO WANT TO PURCHASE AN ANIMAL. The internet can give you information on just about anyone. Have them mail you a copy of a valid drivers license, and then check it out online to see if it's accurate. Any kind of background check is better than nothing. These animals don't deserve this, and there are a lot of cruel people out there. He even uses the words "God Bless" in his email. That goes to show you how much of a disturbed man he is.

Save Horses From Slaughter! Contact your Congressmen and Senator and ask them to vote "yes" on bills H.R.503 and S-727. Here's a sample of what you could say to the administrator who answers the phone and takes your information:

"Hello, my name is [your name] and I live in [your town]. As a constituent, I'm calling to urge Representative [Your Congressman Name] to co-sponsor H.R. 503, Prevention of Equine Cruelty Act, a bill to prevent horses from being cruelly slaughtered for human consumption. Thank you." Be sure to give the person your name, address and phone number.

A Horses Prayer

Feed me, give me water, and care for me, and when the day's work is done, give me shelter, a clean bed and a wide stall. Talk to me, your voice often substitutes for the reins for me. Be good to me and I will serve you cheerfully and love you. Don't jerk the reins and don't raise the whip. Don't beat or kick me when I don't understand you, but rather give me time to understand you. Don't consider it disobedience if I don't follow your commands. Perhaps there is a problem with my saddle, bridle or hooves. Check my teeth if I don't eat, maybe I have a toothache, you know how that hurts. Don't halter me too short and don't dock my tail, it's my only weapon against flies and mosquitoes. And at the end, dear master, when I am no longer any use to you, don't let me go hungry or freeze, and please don't sell me. Don't give me a master who slowly tortures me to death and lets me starve, but rather be merciful and take care of me, by letting me run and enjoy a warm pasture here with you or in heaven. All these organizations do everything they can to save horses from slaughter. These horses going to slaughter are racehorses, and many other kinds of healthy and loving breeds. Even foals are sent to slaughter. Please donate to any one of these organizations I have listed. Even as little as $5.00 goes a long way. A horse was saved from slaughter for as little as $7.00. Are you doing all you can to make this world a better place to live in? I ask you that, and I ask that of myself every day. Horses are sent to auctions every day and most of them are bought by killer buyers and sent to slaughter. Most of those horses are healthy and young. So please, the next time you are in the market for buying a horse or foal, don't buy from a breeder, go to your nearest auction and save a life. All they want is a loving home to go to and in return give you unconditional love right back. :)
